Mcored, watch out for bat installers, many antiviruses will classify it as threat. _________________ Your personal MVP at hand.

Good call there Zarax. :(
I just want to recall our main concern was/is to let the end-user know what's being installed to their system UNLIKE almost every other codec pack. Batch files will show the user what's being registered to their system and users will have full control over it. So it's a true WYSIWYGI (What You See Is What You Get Installed )
Upon request we can make a GUI installer. We can make one anyway letting the users to have more than one option. I think that's a good idea. |

Well, the RAR sfx should have that option.
If not, many free installers shows what they are doing. _________________ Your personal MVP at hand.

Haha, good joke! Don't worry buddy, they don't even make the effort to install the software. Maybe it's clean, but don't trust those marketing strategies. They want backlinks from you and other newbies, that's all. They don't lose the time to test software |

Good point anders. :)
If the average users doesn't trust our word they will at least trust when it is distributed with some kind of certification. This is done merely to convince the community that it is clean.
I could not come up with another better way to show that the pack is clean. Gee I feel like going back to sharing the MSDOS Batch File Installer.
You made me think this: why not create our own certification? Okay MSUN Decoder Pack 2005 doesn't need any other external certification. Nothing created by MSUN is spyware or adaware. It is guranteed to be clean by Microsoft User Network. |

Update proposal:
Alessandro Angeli suggested replacing 3ivx and some other stuff with ffdshow, it should increase support quite a bit... _________________ Your personal MVP at hand.

Good idea. MSUN Decoder Pack April to June internal builds were using DivX and XviD in an attempt to replace 3ivX for some AVI files. Both 3ivX and ffdShow failed to decode a OpenDML IMRR 1.04 AVI properly.
