File transfer is extremely slow in messenger.
What can be the problem?
It is the same problem with the firewall on or off. I use a 100 MB/s connection.
I live in an studenthome. My frend next door have no such problems, and we have the same type of internettconection.
I use Windows XP home edition SP2 and MSN mesenger 7.0 BETA.
Please help me anyone. |

Maybe you have a Network Address Translator or a LAN router in your home? _________________ Your personal MVP at hand.

I dont think we have NAT, but i think we have LAN. How do I find out for certain?
But anyway... What would be the problem if we have this, and more importanly how do i get my messenger to work with these?
I know there is a solution out there since it works fine with all of my neigbours.
Thank you for a quick response. |

I'm sorry, but that article was a litle bit to complicated for me. Computers is certanly not my field of expertice.
I've talked to the man in charge of internettservices at my university. He said that the problem must be at my computer since they have no restictions on the internet. No closed TCP-gates, no firewall etc.
Sorry for my bad english, I'm norwegian you see. |

Well, try checking if your internet connection supports the UDP protocol, other than that don't worry about your english, there are many non native speakers here (including myself) and so we aren't picky at all on the matter _________________ Your personal MVP at hand.
